About six months ago, I stumbled onto a wonderful organization - InDependent - which was founded by military spouses and helps to inspire fellow military spouses to take care of themselves so they can take care of those they love. And when I saw the announcement for their 2018 Military Spouse Wellness Summit, I signed up immediately - a weeklong virtual retreat to help military and first-responder spouses find balance before burnout - yes, please!
I was excited to attend the event, but was even more excited when they asked me to create a special bracelet as a celebration of the Summit and a reminder of the importance of health and wellness. Their mission speaks directly to our mission here at Charliemadison Originals - to inspire you to focus on what's most important in your life and to give you an everyday reminder that you can wear on your wrist so you'll keep that intention throughout your day.
So the Renew You Bracelet was born - Renew You is a memento of the time you devote to self-care and an everyday reminder to reset and recharge so that you can be your very best as you continue to serve others as spouses and parents.
"An everyday reminder that you can wear on your wrist so you'll keep that intention throughout your day."
And my favorite thing about Renew You - it doubles as an essential oil diffuser bracelet. Just add a drop of your favorite essential oil to the olive wood beads, rub gently to allow the oil to absorb, and take your favorite scents with you all day long. Another way to support your health each day.
Designing this bracelet was so much fun, especially when starting with such gorgeous colors - the colors of the Summit - minty green, soft gray, marbled white, and earthy wood. I found gemstones that not only match those colors, but have a special meaning behind them as well:
What an honor it was to not only work with the lovely gals that run InDependent, but to create a piece with such an important intention behind it - to remind you that your health and wellness are so very important and that you should take a moment to re-set and re-charge each and every day! Here's a peek at the inspiration board for Renew You.
