If you're an essential oil lover (like me), then you can appreciate it when I say that I start to feel a little stressed when they're not nearby. Over the past two years of using essential oils, I've found my favorites for dealing with stress, for sleep, soothing sore muscles, and my go-to faves for an afternoon pick-me-up.
First though, I want to say that there are many opinions on the "best" oils.....the most organic.....the safest......the list goes on. I'm not here to convince you that one company is better than another - just buy from a reputable source and use the oils that you love!
OK, so let's talk about the many amazing ways to use your essential oils. You can sniff them straight from the bottle, diffuse them in your home with a diffuser, dilute them in roller bottles and apply them to your body, use them for cleaning, and the list goes on........but did you know that you can also wear them on your wrist without having to dilute them?
I'm talking about diffuser bracelets! These beauties combine natural gemstones, along with beads that you can apply your oils directly to. Here in our shop, we use two different types of beads that are great for diffusing - lava stones and olive wood beads.
The lava stones are the black porous stones you see above on the left and the olive wood beads are shown on the right. Both are fabulous at absorbing essential oils, which means you can wear your favorite scents all day. I'm often asked how long the scent lasts and it really depends on the oil - cinnamon and minty oils tend to last longer, while the citrusy scents have to be refreshed after a few hours.
To use the diffuser bracelets, simply choose your favorite oils, add a drop to the lava stone or olive wood beads, rub gently to allow the oil to absorb, and voila.......your favorite scents on your wrist.....and looking very stylish too, I might add!
1 - The simplest tip of all - wearing your favorite essential oil instead of perfume is a great way to keep harmful chemicals off your skin.
2 - Stack several bracelets together on your wrist - choose 2-3 different oils and add one drop of each oil on a different bracelet - create your favorite blend just like you would in a home diffuser.
3 - During the summer months, apply a drop or two of your favorite bug repellant blend to keep the pesky mosquitos away. Need a suggestion for bugs? A blend of Citronella, Lemongrass, and Geranium will do the trick.
4 - When your day is extra stressful (all you mamas and hard-working gals!) add your favorite stress-relieving oils and blends to your wrist. Here are a few of my fave blends - Lemon + Peppermint; Lime + Spearmint; Orange + Bergamot; and anything mixed with Lemongrass!
5 - If you're into yoga and meditation, add a drop of your favorite oil to the bracelet right before your practice - you'll smell the wonderful scent throughout your meditation or yoga session.
6 - And last but not least, gift a bracelet and a bottle of your favorite oil to introduce a friend to the world of essential oils.
There is hardly a day that I don't have at least one essential oil diffuser bracelet mixed into my bracelet stack. They've become a staple to use with my essential oils but are also great even if you're not an oil lover - the lava stones and wood are pretty contrasts with the gemstones.
