After nine years of giving back to military nonprofit organizations, you might think the excitement level would certainly not be as high as it once was, but the opposite is actually true. Giving Charliemadison’s annual charitable donation is my favorite part of being the CEO of this brand whose mission is to support and give back to military families.
While we typically share the announcement of our nonprofit of choice in early fall each year, we saved the announcement of the 2023 recipient of our charitable donation until November. Not because it took us that long to find a worthy organization - there are SO many wonderful non-profits within this community - but because we knew we were meeting the organization’s President at the Military Influencer Conference in November.
We’ve never had the pleasure of presenting this gift in-person and it meant the world to us to be able to do an official presentation in front of an amazing group of military spouses - many of whom have been part of our Community for years. A huge shoutout to our PR extraordinaire, Lyndsey Akers, for making this happen!
I am honored to share that Charliemadison Originals’ 2023 charitable donation was given to InDependent - a wellness community built by military spouses for military spouses of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Founded in 2013 by five military spouses, InDependent is the only nonprofit organization within the military space that is dedicated exclusively to the mental health and wellness of military spouses.
InDependent supports military families through programs and resources like their annual Wellness Summit; Fuel the Homefront, their upcoming virtual workshop providing easy, family-friendly meals that maximize your budget; and the Wellness Directory featuring experts in health, wellness, nutrition, and more.
This year, InDependent is celebrating their 10th Anniversary by kicking off the 8th annual virtual Wellness Summit, Rediscover You, for military spouses to celebrate and explore their personal wellness from March 4-8, 2024.
This virtual anytime, anywhere wellness retreat for ALL military spouses - Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Veteran - offers free registration or upgraded options for access to the Wellness Lounge and VIP extras.

This year’s contribution brings our total monetary donations to just over $30,000 - and we know these donations are not possible without the Charliemadison Community. Their belief in our mission and the power of one person to contribute to make a much bigger impact within the military community is what makes these annual donations possible. We are forever grateful to all the military and civilian families who help make this annual donation happen every year!
