CURRENT CRUSHES | THANKSGIVING FAVORITES

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it's all about family.......and food! Let's not forget about the food. While I don't eat meat, the rest of my family does, so there's always turkey or ham, but really, Thanksgiving dinner is all about the side dishes and desserts. I'm always browsing my favorite sites for new recipes to try, even if they're new spins on old favorites. Here are a few I've added to my list this Thanksgiving, plus a couple that I've made for many years because they're simply delish! If you give them a try, come back and let me know what you thought!

1 - Sweet Potato Crumble Casserole from Oh She Glows – this is one of my go-to recipes for the holidays and it never disappoints. And if you're not vegan, simply sub the vegan butter for regular butter!

2 - The Best Cranberry Sauce on Earth from Osmia Organics – I love a good cranberry sauce, but only if it's homemade with fresh cranberries. This recipe popped into my inbox this week and it sounds heavenly!

3 - Green Salad with Apples, Cranberries, & Pepitas from Cookie and Kate - this recipe looks simple and delicious - and I always need a fresh salad to go with all the heavy sides.

4 - Pear & Cranberry Champagne Cocktails from Minimalist Baker - OK, this isn't really a side dish or a dessert, but celebrating with family deserves a little cocktail and this one sounds amazing!

5 - Roasted Garlic & Cheddar Cauliflower Gratin by Naturally Ella - there are so many things you can do with cauliflower, but mixed with a little cheese and topped with crispy breadcrumbs sounds perfect to me.

6 - Crispy Garlic Brussels Sprouts with Sriracha Aioli from Minimalist Baker -  I know, you either love 'em or hate 'em and brussels sprouts really get a bad rap. They're on my list of favorite veggies, especially when roasted. Adding in a dipping sauce just takes them to the next level.

7 - Pear & Cranberry Crisp by Cookie and Kate - this one is on my list for dessert this Thanksgiving. It's a little lighter than all the pies, but has all the yummy flavors of fall. I can't wait to try it!
