Charliemadison Celebrates 10 Years in Business with our 2025 Charitable Donation Recipient
As we celebrate 10 years of Charliemadison Originals, one of our very favorite days of the year is here again—and we’re thrilled to share the news.
Starting a small business is no easy feat, and staying in business for a decade is an even bigger milestone. When we opened our little Etsy shop over ten years ago, we had no idea where the road would lead. Our very first nonprofit donation—just $50 to The Milspo Project—felt small, but it was rooted in something big: our commitment to giving back to the military family community we love so much.
We always believed that if we stayed true to our mission, the impact would grow alongside us. And it has.
When we moved from Etsy to our permanent home at charliemadisonoriginals.com, our values didn’t change. Each year, one of the greatest joys in our business has been setting aside a donation to a military-affiliated nonprofit—a gift made possible entirely by you. Our community. Our people.
Because the truth is, businesses aren’t built alone. Every single donation we’ve made over the years was possible because you’ve believed in what we do. Because you’ve worn our bracelets, shared our mission, and trusted us with your stories. This giving back? It’s just as much your legacy as it is ours.
This year’s donation is particularly meaningful for me personally. After 32 years of federal service, including two decades as a scientist at the FDA, I retired this spring to pursue Charliemadison full time. And now, I finally have the opportunity to support causes that have long held a special place in my heart—especially those at the intersection of public health and military family support.
We’re incredibly proud to share that our 2025 Charitable Donation has been given to Building Military Families Network.
Building Military Families Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting military and veteran families on their family building journey whether they are facing infertility, deployments, or other challenges.
Julie Eshelman, the founder of Building Military Families Network experienced firsthand the sense of abandonment and isolation our military and veteran families face during family building and recognized the unmet need for an organization to serve and support them.
Building Military Families Network provides awareness while creating a network of community and support for the 67% of military and veteran families that struggle to build and grow their families. They advocate for our community to address barriers to family building for service members, veterans, and their families.
But there’s even more to this year’s story than a nonprofit donation.
We recently had the honor of teaming up with Julie to create a Bracelet That Gives Back—one that speaks to a journey that touches so many yet is often carried in silence.
Together, we designed After the Storm—a bracelet that serves as a gentle tribute to the deeply personal experience of infertility or pregnancy loss, and a symbol of hope and healing for those navigating life after.
It’s a quiet reminder that even the darkest skies can eventually give way to light—and that your story is one of strength, love, and the promise of brighter days ahead.
With Julie’s heartfelt vision and a little Charliemadison magic, we created something truly meaningful for those who need it most.

A portion of the proceeds from this bracelet will be donated directly to Building Military Families Network.
